The Journal of Radiological Protection has reviewed their articles published during the year 2019 and the paper from Perko et al. (2019) “Towards a strategic research agenda for social sciences and humanities in radiological protection” was shortlisted for the Bernard Wheatley Award, to be published in June 2019. The paper was written mainly by researchers and experts from the SHARE Platform.

The editorial showed that the work of the European radiation protection platforms is highly appreciated and recognises that societal aspects are a very important part of radiation protection. They also appreciate the use of a gap analysis to identify the top research priorities relating to topics what have previously only been addressed to a limited degree.
